HCDCC Donates 550 Pounds of Food!

The HCDCC kicked off a Year of Service to celebrate President Barack Obama’s last year in office. Each month the Committeecannedfood will be participating or organizing a community service project.

For the Month of January, Howard County Democrats collected canned foods during MLK weekend. Over 20 people picked up bags donated by Harris Teeter Grocery Store and delivered them to neighbors. A week later, bags were picked up and delivered to our headquarters.

We collected over 550 pounds of food from our members and neighbors. The canned food was delivered to the Howard County Food Bank for distribution to those that need it the most.

Thank you so much to all that participated and helped us make a difference. Ifcannedfood5 you did not
participate, but still want to help out, donations are always appreciated. https://www.cac-hc.or

HCDCC Kicks of a Year of Service

The HCDCC kicked off a Year of Service to celebrate President Barack Obama’s last year in office. Each month the Committee will be participating or organizing a community service project.

We feel that Community Service emulates the ideals of the Democratic Party. Therefore, we are taking this opportunity to immerse ourselves in a year of service. This is our opportunity to give back to our community.

Each month, the HCDCC will be involved in at least one activity. Please consider supporting us and joining us as we embark this wonderful journey. Read about our activities on our website and on Facebook.
