HCDCC Annual Democratic Dinner – “Yes, We Will Again”

Dear Fellow Democrat,

On behalf of the Howard County Democratic Central Committee (HCDCC), it is my distinct pleasure to invite you to attend, and to be a sponsor for, the HCDCC’s Annual Howard County Democratic Dinner and Silent Auction. This year the dinner will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at The Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville, Maryland.

We are excited to announce that our Keynote Speaker for this event is the Honorable Eric H. Holder, 82nd Attorney General of the United States, who served under President Obama from 2009 to 2015. As the third longest serving Attorney General in U.S. history and the first African American to hold that office, Mr. Holder is an internationally recognized leader across a broad range of regulatory enforcement, criminal justice, and national security issues.

Our theme this year will be, “Yes, We Will Again!” is a celebration of the service of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden for the past 7½ years, and another Democratic Administration for the next term!

I’m also excited to share that the Howard County Democratic party, has decided to explore changing the name of our annual Jefferson Jackson dinner. We received over 25 name suggestions and minimized the list to 5 options. Please help us choose the name of our annual dinner by visiting and voting for one of the following options: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Annual Dinner, Howard County Democratic Unity Dinner, Kennedy-Obama Dinner, Obama-Mikulski Dinner, or you can always vote to retain the current name, Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.

This annual program and dinner is the HCDCC’s primary fundraiser for the year. The proceeds of this event enable the Committee to elect Democrats in Howard County and across Maryland during the next twelve months.

Please visit the 2016 Annual Howard County Democratic Dinner and Silent Auction webpage for information on tickets, sponsorship packages, program advertising, silent auction donations and to vote on the name of our annual dinner. We hope you will strongly consider becoming a sponsor of this year’s special event with one or more of these opportunities.

We appreciate your attendance, sponsorship and participation in the 2016 Howard County Democratic Central Committee’s Annual Dinner and Silent Auction featuring the Honorable Eric H. Holder. We look forward to seeing you on June 7.

For the Month of January, Howard County Democrats collected canned foods during MLK weekend. Over 20 people picked up bags donated by Harris Teeter Grocery Store and delivered them to neighbors. A week later, bags were picked up and delivered to our headquarters.
