4th of July Parades
July 4, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT
River Hill Parade – Tuesday, July 4th at 9 a.m.
River Hill’s 23rd Annual Independence Day Parade will take place along Great Star Drive. Dig out your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and set up a spot to watch the procession of fire trucks, veterans groups, scout troops, vintage and modern vehicles, sports teams, local businesses and decorative floats! There will plenty of fun and surprises to delight everyone! Great Star Drive will be closed to through traffic from approximately 8:45 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Parking is available at the River Hill Village Center and on the side streets off of Great Star Drive. Don’t forget to bring water and sunscreen!
To walk with fellow Democrats for River Hill parade, meet at Pointers Run Elementary School (6600 S Trotter Rd, Clarksville, MD 21029) starting at 8:15 a.m.
Longfellow Parade- Tuesday, July 4th at 10 a.m.
The Annual Longfellow Friends of the Traditional 4th Parade will take place on Tuesday, July 4th, rain or shine, at 10:00 am. Lineup begins at 9:15 in the parking lot of Longfellow Elementary School (LES). It will travel from one end of Hesperus Drive to the other, and return to the school via Eliot’s Oak Road.
